Johnny Ong has led and trained sales teams in multi-national companies for more than twenty years. This includes senior sales management in the media as well as hospitality industries. He has led teams through extremely challenging environments and situations, often leading them into top market-share positions, thus enhancing his real world experiences which he loves sharing in a classroom environment.
He left the corporate world in 2007 to pursue his lifelong passion of writing, speaking and training. Johnny’s training methodology effectively combines first hand insights and theoretical concepts in a light-hearted, yet informative manner.
Professional Credentials
Johnny Ong’s academic qualifications include a Master of Social Science (Professional Counselling) from the Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hull (United Kingdom). He has also attained the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (IAL Singapore) and the Diploma in Psychotherapy from the School of Positive Psychology (Singapore). He is also a certified Extended DISC consultant and has advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Johnny is also a certified counsellor and has a private practice under the business name of The Safe Place. He is also an adjunct lecturer in Counselling Psychology.

He is also the author of “Don’t Live Your Life In One Day – 100 Effective Rules to Living a Meaningful Life,” a personal development book. He also contributes articles to various publications, both online and traditional media, including the Straits Times.
